美國聯儲局前副主席費希爾逝世 享年81歲 X

<匯港通訊>  曾任美國聯儲局副主席和以色列央行行長的費希爾(Stanley Fischer)上周六去世,享年81歲。以色列央行發表聲明,確認他的離世,但未有提及因何病而逝世。

費希爾曾在麻省理工大學任教,當時跟隨他的一些學生其後成為央行行長,包括聯儲局前主席伯南克,前歐央行行長德拉吉等等,因此他在經濟界曾被視為「央行界教父」。

費希爾曾擔任世界銀行首席經濟師及國際貨幣基金組織(國基會/IMF)第一副總裁,參與兩大國際金融機構應對1997年亞洲金融危機。

他在2002-2005年期間擔任花旗集團副主席,2005-2013年擔任以色列央行行長,2014-2017年擔任聯儲局副主席。 (BC)
