世貿對中美貿易緊張再升級極度擔憂 X

<匯港通訊> 世界貿易組織(WTO)總幹事伊維拉表示,世貿對中美貿易緊張局勢近期再度升級極度擔憂,敦促兩國緩和貿易緊張局勢,警告全球兩大經濟體如果脫鉤,會波及世界其他地區,長遠可能令全球經濟產出減少7%,發展中國家或面臨兩位數的福利損失。

伊維拉接受《路透》訪問時表示,中美雙方在今年較早時已經放棄首次關稅升級,避免更嚴重的後果,她希望能夠再次出現有關情況,已與兩國官員溝通,鼓勵加強對話。

伊維拉日前又向20國集團(G20)官員表示,沒有全球貿易穩定就無法實現全球金融穩定。世貿等機構應借當前多邊主義危機,推動長期以來呼籲的改革,令全球貿易機構更加靈活高效,並能在數字、服務及綠色貿易等新領域抓住機遇。
