(Infocast News)        US stocks were mixed on Friday.  Investors weighed bearish consumer sentiment data, while monitoring the ongoing US government shutdown for any signs of an end. Investors worried about the sustainability of a rally in AI shares

The DJIA rose 74.80 points or 0.16%, to 46,987.10.

The S&P 500 rose 8.48 points or 0.13%, to 6,728.80.

The Nasdaq Composite fell 49.46 points or 0.22%, to 23,004.54.

Stocks fell in the three major European markets.

The FTSE 100 fell 53.21 points or 0.55%, to 9,682.57.

The German DAX fell 164.06 points or 0.69%, to 23,569.96.

The French CAC 40 fell 14.59 points or 0.18%, to 7,950.18.
