LME:免被追加200億美元保證金 X

<匯港通訊>   港交所(00388)旗下倫敦金屬交易所(LME)表示,3月取消部分鎳交易是唯一選項,以免市場被追加200億美元保證金。

LME 因3月鎳交易停市事件遭入稟索賠,據 LME 遞交的法庭文件顯示,當時市況前所未有,取消鎳交易是唯一合適的選項,若不取消交易,市場將面臨逾197億美元追加保證金通知,是之前紀錄的10倍,最少有7個結算成員將會違約。

文件又預期,LME 將承受26億美元損失,並要向結算成員尋求約12億美元資金,將導致另外5個成員違約,令 LME 難以發揮有色金屬交易所功能,形成更大系統性風險。 (BC)
