馬來西亞第17任最高元首易卜拉欣正式登基 X

<匯港通訊>  馬來西亞第17任最高元首易卜拉欣在首都吉隆坡的國家皇宮正式登基。他在儀式上致辭時表示,將會真誠、公平地履行職責,維護國家主權和繁榮,希望政府繼續努力減輕人民負擔,讓國家更加進步繁榮。

出席儀式的包括馬來西亞各州蘇丹、州統治者或代表、首相安華及內閣成員,外賓包括巴林國王哈馬德、新加坡前總理李顯龍等。

馬來西亞實行君主立憲聯邦制。最高元首是國家元首、伊斯蘭教領袖兼武裝部隊統帥,由統治者會議從馬來西亞9個州的世襲蘇丹或州統治者中選舉產生,任期5年。 (BC)
