教宗選舉據悉5月7日開始 X

<匯港通訊>  羅馬天主教教宗方濟各近日辭世。《路透》引述梵蒂岡消息人士透露,教宗選舉將在5月7日開始。

選舉將以「秘密會議」(Conclave)的形式閉門投票,約135位來自全球各地、年齡在80歲以下的樞機主教將參與此次選舉,共同決定這個擁有14億信徒的全球天主教會新領導人。

過往2005年及2013年兩次教宗選舉均僅歷時兩日,為準備選舉,具有500年歷史的西斯汀禮拜堂周一起暫停對遊客開放。 (BC)
