<匯港通訊>  一號戒備信號生效,熱帶風暴韋帕已增強為強烈熱帶風暴。

天文台稱,一號信號至少維持至中午,考慮在下午初時改發三號強風信號,並在下午視乎韋帕與珠江口的距離、它的強度及本地風力變化,評估是否需要在明日初時改發更高熱帶氣旋警告信號。

天文台稱,按照現時預測,韋帕會繼續增強,明日頗為接近珠江口一帶,本港會有狂風大驟雨及雷暴,海有非常大浪及湧浪,市民應遠離岸邊及停止水上活動。 (BC)
