<匯港通訊> 美國聯儲局主席沃什拒絕向國會透露他與總統特朗普的溝通情況,但重申聯儲局獨立性。

沃什周三連續第2日在國會作證,他在參議院銀行委員會聽證會上表示,對於他上任以來是否已經與特朗普對話方面,他無可奉告,強調自己不想與國會分享相關情況。

他稱,總統還沒有企圖影響聯邦公開市場委員會(FOMC)貨幣政策,如果特朗普企圖影響聯儲局的決策,他將繼續埋頭做自己的事,也就是保持獨立性,重申即便接到總統的電話,亦不會感到不舒服。 (BC)
