KING'S FLAIR(06822)expects 1H loss to reduce X

(Infocast News)   KING'S FLAIR(06822) said that, based on the information currently available and the preliminary review of the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2026 , the Group expects to record a loss attributable to the owners of the Company of approximately HK$12.4 million for the Reporting Period as compared to a loss attributable to the owners of the Company of approximately HK$40.9 million for the corresponding period in the previous year.

The expected reduction in loss was mainly a combined effect of:

(i) a decrease in revenue to approximately HK$228.9 million for the Reporting Period from approximately HK$249.8 million for the Previous Period mainly as a result of continued uncertainties in market sentiments and the US tariffs and extended policies;
(ii) a turnaround in other income and gains, net from a loss of approximately HK$6.8 million for the Previous Period to a gain of approximately HK$8.5 million, which was largely driven by a fair value gain on investment properties of approximately HK$6.1 million for the Reporting Period as compared to a fair value loss of HK$16.9 million for the Previous Period;
(iii) an increase in gross profit to HK$59.3 million for the Reporting Period from HK$51.5 million for the Previous Period as a result of an improvement in gross profit margin to approximately 25.9% for the Reporting Period from approximately 20.5% for the Previous Period as a result of the efforts in tighter control in production costs during the Reporting Period; 
(iv) a decrease in administrative expenses due to the effective cost control in administration and operations. (SY)
